Some families at Thacher participate in a lovely tradition of honoring their child's birthday by donating a book to the school library. The donated book can be shared with the class at the child's birthday celebration, and then shared with the entire school in the library. This is an optional tradition.

May 2008 - In order to accomodate construction of the library's second floor and atrium, the library will close early this year. The final due date for all books will be May 16. Books may not be taken home after May 16, but may be used in the classrooms until June.

If your child has overdue books, you will be receiving frequent reminder notices to help in your search. We have done a complete inventory of the library, so that our records are up to date. If your child has checked out a book that you have never seen, it could be in the classroom - please ask your child to check there as well.
