Employment Opportunities

Located within a half-mile of Boston city limits, Thacher Montessori School enjoys a rich cultural and geographic diversity in a natural setting. The school sits between a 7,000-acre nature preserve and The Wakefield Estate, a 23-acre arboretum with livestock and specimen gardens, used for the adolescent program. Each of our 10 classrooms is led by a Montessori trained guide, assisted by a second faculty member, and, specialists at the elementary and adolescent levels. The school is accredited for all ages by the American Montessori Society (AMS) and recognized at the 0–3 and 3–6 levels by the Association Montessori International (AMI).

Substitute Teacher and Assistant

Thacher seeks substitute teachers and assistants for Toddler through Upper Elementary classrooms. This role will be utilized for absences that are planned as well as late-notification situations. Whenever possible, advanced notice will be given to a substitute.  Candidate should have good interpersonal skills and calm demeanor. If interested, please contact Vicky Varnum.
