THACHER MONTESSORI
SUMMER 2008 DRAMA PROGRAM
Living the Arts!
(6 - 14 Year Olds)
Living the Arts! is a program dedicated to teaching children artistic expression and appreciation. Through the arts and personal creativity the children learn about themselves and the world around them. All participants learn basic introduction to the theatre, take part in set and costume design for each production, and learn the songs and movements needed for their parts. Experienced students develop their talents by working one-on-one with instructors and on projects with peers. Each three week session culminates in an all-student production presented for family and friends on the last Thursday of the session.
The Living the Arts! summer theater program at Thacher Montessori School provides a creative environment for students to grow and develop alongside their peers while learning new skills, self confidence and having fun! Each child in the program is mentored to do their best as they learn about creating and performing in a theatrical production.
