			Founded in 1971, Thacher Montessori School is an independent school serving more than 200 children ages 3 to 14. Thacher is dedicated to nurturing children’s innate love of learning and preparing them to succeed in all aspects of life — both academically and socially. With roots in the child-centered educational philosophy of Dr. Maria Montessori, Thacher offers a competitive academic curriculum taught in a stimulating environment where each child is inspired to become a confident, independent learner and to reach his or her highest academic potential. In addition to a core curriculum, Thacher offers enrichment classes, such as Spanish, music, art and drama, as well as extra-curricular programs and extended aftercare.
