Visit Our Library Online

We believe that reading or being read to every day is essential for children of all ages to develop language skills further and facilitate learning. To that end, we offer the Thacher community access to our online library database during the school year. Featuring more than 14,000 titles, this resource allows students and parents the ability to search for their favorites or discover new ones.

Adopt-A-Book Tradition

Because reading is a gift, many Thacher parents, grandparents, and other family choose to honor a child with a book donation. Adopting a book is a meaningful way to celebrate a child’s birthday, graduation, or another special life event.

When a book is adopted, we put a bookplate inside the front cover, and the child honored receives a special bookmark notifying him/her of the new addition. This child may wish to share the book with the class, especially for their birthday celebration. If your family wants to donate a book, please contact our librarian Kim Storch for a personalized bookplate.

Summer Reading

At the end of the school year, we encourage all our students to continue their learning by reading over the summer. We hope you and your children will enjoy this year’s Summer Reading List.

When in doubt, go to the library.
