MMUN 2019
For the first time, our entire Adolescent classroom attended MMUN (Montessori Model United Nations) in New York City.
MMUN is an educational simulation of the United Nations General Assembly for Montessori students around the world. Student “delegates” role-play as ambassadors of UN member states in hopes of resolving real-world conflicts with their own resolutions.
Maria Montessori supported the work of the League of Nations and its successor the United Nations as a forum where peace could be created. She recognized the hope for peace lay in the education of children.
